Dr. Takia M. Oglesby founded The Nexus Pain Center in Columbus, Georgia, in 2009 after completing his residency in anesthesiology at Washington University/Barnes-Jewish Hospital in 2008 and his fellowship in pain medicine at Duke University in 2009 as a way to offer his patients a comprehensive approach to pain management.
Before becoming board certified with the American Board of Anesthesiology and becoming a member of the American Board of Anesthesiology/Medicine, Dr. Oglesby received his Doctor of Medicine in 2004 from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Master of Science in Polymer/Organic Chemistry from Clark Atlanta University in 1998.
In addition to running The Nexus Pain Center, Dr. Oglesby also owns the North Columbus Surgery Center, which he opened in 2012. He has also been a speaker for Purdue Pharma since 2011 and both Pfizer, Inc. and Depomed, Inc. since 2012.
Dr. Oglesby has also presented at Victory Pharmaceuticals, was a teaching assistant at the University of Florida, and was a chemist at Eli Lilly, Inc.
